I instantly loved the song, when it was released. but I purposely avoided to watch this video until now. I have seen her perform live three weeks prior to this incident and I was so greateful for that. she made me strong, in a hard time for me. when I heard the news, it made me cry to see my role model suffer, and I was so incredibly thankful, she survived that. now, watching this, kinda took me back to that moment. it did really tear me up. but I think we are all better then we were before. and I am so happy, you're in a better place now.

I think that it’s crazy how Demi not only talked openly about her od and struggles with addiction (+ more) in her documentary and wrote a song about it but she also re-enacted the whole thing in this video! She is even wearing the same clothes and that my friends is what makes this song & this video the best I’ve ever seen! She deserves every award possible!

I am so thankful to you Demi, for showing us the hard road you've travelled, to get to where you are ... so raw, so unfiltered, so real!!! I myself, am a recovering addict with an eating disorder that has screwed with me all my life. I have been many places like Demi has, but the one thing I've never touched is hard drugs. I took enough over the counter meds from the age of 12 to 29, due to a medical condition, so I have an aversion now to anything I put into my body that I can't control. Due to sexual abuse when I was younger, as well as being drugged and raped by my ex husband, I suffer from depression and anxiety now. Some days are good, others bad, and what is in my head haunts me everyday, but I remind myself constantly that it could all be worse, and the last suicide attempt could have well been the last for me. I decided awhile ago that I'd choose life over death, and be free of everyone and anything that stressed me, to try and have a normal life, and its been working very well ... so far. I know that I have an addictive personality, and am a constant work in progress to/for myself ... yes, even at 51 years of age I don't have it all figured out, but I try to be more kinder and gentler to myself and surround myself with things that make me happy, NOT other people as I have done in the past. I have my secrets about myself that I DON'T have to, or need to share with others, as they do not understand my pain, nor should they need or try to. My comfort and sanity in this world is mine alone, my safeguard and my best friend to myself. I get it with Demi, I understand her thinking, and I admire and respect her for being so open as she is ... she's real and honest, and that's a beautiful thing. Thank you once again, Demi 🙏🌷💕
